Individual Counselling

Individual counselling provides a safe, compassionate space to explore your challenges, gain clarity, and foster personal growth.

Relationship Counselling

Relationships can be hard. Counselling can help you and your partner identify and gain insights into conflict, give you tools to strengthen your relationship, and also aid in conscious decision making around going your separate ways if need be.

Walk and Talk Therapy

Therapy in the outdoors that blends the benefits of nature and gentle activity with traditional talk therapy. Whether you’re seeking a new kind of counselling experience or just want to get outside, walk and talk therapy might be a good fit for you. Takes place on the Coal Harbour Seawall or at Kitsilano Beach.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps you to connect with your natural capacities to process, integrate, and heal painful past experiences that may be interfering in your life.

Clinical Supervision

Through collaborative discussion, case consultation, and exploration of the therapist–client relationship, supervision helps you grow in confidence and competence while maintaining professional standards.

Hello and welcome! My name is Sophia (pronouns: she/her/hers). I hold a master’s degree in counselling from Adler University and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). I grew up in Vancouver, on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh), and kwikwəƛ̓ əm (Kwikwetlem) nations. I am a cisgendered woman with Jewish ancestral roots in Eastern Europe.

I am also a human being who is particularly passionate about supporting fellow highly sensitive people (HSPs) thrive in a world that can often feel overwhelming. Through my own journey as a client and student of life, I’ve learned ways to cope with these challenges and appreciate the unique strengths that come with increased sensitivity. I understand how it feels to process things more deeply, feel “different” than those around me, and can relate to others who are seeking greater meaning and connection in life.

The essence of my approach involves viewing you as a whole person rather than only focusing on specific symptoms. I offer an intuitive and holistic perspective, supporting the connection between mind, body and soul. Using a person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed lens, my focus is on establishing safety and trust as the foundation for our work together. We’ll begin with where you are at today, at a pace that feels sustainable based on your unique concerns, strengths, and therapeutic goals. I see my role as a guide who is walking alongside you on this path. My aim is to help you reconnect with your inner resources and feel liberated from the obstacles blocking you from experiencing connection, fulfillment and joy.

I support individuals and couples to navigate struggles related to neurodiversity (HSP, Autism, ADHD, giftedness), relationship challenges, anxiety, trauma, depression, body image/eating disorders, life transitions and spiritual exploration.
